REMAR Orphanage & School, La Libertad, El Salvador
 REMAR’s orphanage and school in La Libertad, El Salvador is a local ministry of REMAR International a Christian organization which serves the poor in 53 countries. The orphanage is home to about 60 children, most of whom have been removed from their homes due to abuse. These children attend the Mt. Olive School which is run by REMAR staff and which has a total enrollment of over 200 children. REMAR serves these children not only with a good education but also with loving support, personal development, and spiritual nurture. Trinity has sent mission teams to La Libertad both in 2019 and 2020. |
Shawn Harmon
 Shawn, a college friend of Abby McCubbin, has been preparing to serve in Refugee Ministry in Rome as part of the Presbyterian Church’s Antioch Partners. He will leave the US and arrive in Rome on June 1 for a three-year term.When meeting with Trinity’s Mission Committee, Shawn demonstrated passion and sincerity for this cross-cultural incarnational, mission. He seems uniquely equipped for this ministry. |
Wycliffe Bible Translators, Papua New Guinea
 Brad and Toni Guderian have served in Papua New Guinea (PNG) since 1992 working with Koluwawa co-translators to translate and publish the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament into the language of the Koluwawa people. In January 2020 they came to the U.S. for a 6-month furlough but then the Covid lockdown occurred and then Toni was diagnosed with cancer. Toni is doing well with her cancer treatment but she is unable to return to PNG. Therefore, they have transitioned to remote staff on the PNG. Brad continues to work by preparing first draft translation for revision, and by maintaining contact with their Koluwawa coworkers via messages through the regional center. He is planning to make short trips back once PNG’s COVID restrictions and Toni’s health allow for that. |
Community Transformation Ministries, Nepal
 Mohan and Sangeeta Tamang are natives of Nepal and have been in church-planting min-istry with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) since 1988.Their approach to planting churches is to engage the local community at their places of greatest need and then to partner with other YWAM staff who live in the village to minister to the needs of the local people and share the love and good news of Jesus through word and deed. |
Malawi Mission Partnership
 Our church first visited Malawi, Africa in 2006. For the past 15 years we have been supporting the pastors in an urban village with their training for ministry, food security, and Hiv/AIDS training. 2021 will be the final year of our partnership. We are concluding our collaboration because there are fewer Presbyterian churches in our partnership and because we have largely accomplished our goals.
When we first met with the Pastors’ Fraternal, the local clergy association in the village of 40,000, there was very little ministry training available for pastors. So, we collaborated with Veritas Malawi to offer a 2-year curriculum in Biblical studies. Hundreds of pastors and lay leaders have benefited from this training. The pastors also asked for assistance in earning their high school diplomas. Dozens of pastors have earned their diplomas and scores of leaders have learned English, an important skill in a former English colony. And the pastors cultivate a 2-acre field we purchased to assure that pastors’ families have enough to eat. We are using this final year of our partnership to celebrate what God has accomplished through these years together. |
